| WebDCS™ : TABLET PC CHECK-IN | ||||
| Airports and airlines that face long queues of passengers because of a lack of capacity can speed up check-in by using staff in the role of Queue Walkers. Staff can carry out either part or all of the check-in process while passengers queue for the desk. Boarding Passes and Baggage Tags could optionally be printed behind the desk so that the actions carried out at the desk are kept to a minimum. Two Tablet PCs provide comparable capacity as an extra desk (minus the bag drop) so it is a strong option for airports at critical capacity or airlines with too few desks. Ink enables airlines to issue Boarding Passes from mobile printers or remotely print passes behind the desk even while the agents are walking along the queue. |
WebDCS™ is optimised to run on Tablet PCs. With its graphical interface, check-in actions are done easily and conveniently on a touch sensitive tablet screen. Tablet PCs process passengers in long queues when check-in capacity is exceeded. |
