Handling baggage remains a challenge with Self Service. Whereas, the majority of competing solutions still rely on manual tagging of bags and dedicated bag drops, SelfBaggage™ operates self service tagging and shared [partially or fully] automated bag drop facilities. Customers print their own tags from kiosks or bag tag printers connected to Internet Check-in PCs (for remote check-in).

SelfBaggage™ includes a simple, yet highly effective Bag Drop Reconciliation module to speed up the operation of staff at desks. Baggage messages (e.g. BSM, BUM, BTM) are generated and sent by WebCUTE™.

SelfBaggage™ produces IATA 740 compliant tags that are correctly processed by Baggage Handling Systems and Baggage Reconciliation Systems. The License Plate numbers on these baggage tags match up with those issued from agent check-in (WebDCS™) for trouble free baggage reconciliation. RFID tags can be issued for more accurate baggage handling. |
